Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide and execute the Canadian tax compliance needs of multinational corporations, including tax return preparation and tax provision
- Work directly with clients and internal teams to implement tax strategies for non-residents of Canada
- Advise Canadian businesses expanding internationally on acquisition structuring, financing transactions, corporate reorganizations, and repatriation planning
- Identify, understand, and solve client tax challenges while introducing new planning strategies
- Mentor and support junior staff to grow within the organization
- Participate in internal professional development, including preparing and leading technical learning sessions
- Perform other related duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation and/or Law Degree
- Completion of the In-Depth Tax Course or equivalent Tax degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, with at least 3 years in Corporate Tax
- Strong expertise in International Tax
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian income tax law, corporate return preparation, tax research, and memo drafting
- Experience working with a diverse client portfolio
- Proficient in tax research tools and databases
