Tax Manager – International Tax

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Provide and execute the Canadian tax compliance needs of multinational corporations, including tax return preparation and tax provision
  • Work directly with clients and internal teams to implement tax strategies for non-residents of Canada
  • Advise Canadian businesses expanding internationally on acquisition structuring, financing transactions, corporate reorganizations, and repatriation planning
  • Identify, understand, and solve client tax challenges while introducing new planning strategies
  • Mentor and support junior staff to grow within the organization
  • Participate in internal professional development, including preparing and leading technical learning sessions
  • Perform other related duties as required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation and/or Law Degree
  • Completion of the In-Depth Tax Course or equivalent Tax degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, with at least 3 years in Corporate Tax
  • Strong expertise in International Tax
  • Advanced knowledge of Canadian income tax law, corporate return preparation, tax research, and memo drafting
  • Experience working with a diverse client portfolio
  • Proficient in tax research tools and databases
